because they care for you and are being protective. that's what parents want for their kids.

they also know what most boys at your age want from girls. like I said, they're being protective.

sort out your education first and get a job. you'll have plenty of time to find one who will like you for who you are as a person and not just for your body.

good luck.

Simple. You are too young to have b/g relationships. They are protecting you from getting hurt by failed relationships, which is very common. Why young b/g relationship usually fail? Mainly because:
1. Couples are not matured enough to assess whether their partner suits them over the long term.
2. Youngsters values and views change as they grow older. Hence what they value earlier on about their partners, drop.
3. When we are young, we think more of fun than of the consequences of committed relationships. Complications will arise when we grow older, and fun becomes secondary.
4. Many more new factors arise when marriage is involved. Financial independence, children, in-laws, real character and behaviour revealed because of lowered defences when you stay together, etc
So, do you still think your parents are wrong to protect you from your ignorance as long as they could? Believe me, they know, because they've been there!

Most parents set a certain age for letting their children have boyfriends or girlfriends because of maturity. You need to have a certain amount of maturity, self-esteem, and responsibility before you should have a boyfriend.

Parents do what they feel is best for their children. Parents have lived their life and actually know a lot about a lot of things.

Probably because you are too young to have one. You might not think so, but your parents do know whats best for you and do have your best interests at heart.

they r trying to protect u and make sure that u dont get into something that u maybe rnt ready to handle. try convincing them that GROUP dates r okay- in a public place. and it always helps to let them meet him- then they may trust u more. also, always tell them where u r going- and dont lie

It's not that they don't want for you to have a boyfriend, it is that they are not ready to accept what comes with that! Dates, kissing, possible sex...... and you know what that brings, right? Well let me spell it out BABY!

Maybe it's b-coz you're too young! You are probably seeing this person as "COOL", but they're seeing him for what he is........
NO GOOD!
Give your parents a break, they just want what's best for you!
