Felony's are mistakes...but everything that you do..and regret later is a mistake. That includes everything from over-eating at dinner to killing your mother. Most people that make mistakes regret it later. Thats not what's important to be honest. What's important is 2 things. first... that they own their mistake. THEY MADE IT..and it is THEIR FAULT. If they deny either of these.... no... dont waste your time. Second... their decision making process has got to change. if they are still making POOR decisions (by societies standards...NOT YOURS), then.... no....dont waste your time.

If you are going to date someone.... you want to make sure that your future...with them will be a successful one. If they fall back on bad habits and commit another crime, or just simply treat you like crap...then you're the chump for taking a risk on them.

MY advice... dont do it. Most people make their decisions based on the life experiences they've had before that time. Few people change because that would require that they forget about all those problems they had before. How many alcoholics actually become "cured"? How many abusive people continue to beat their next partner because they can't change? Most people simply change their IMAGE in the eyes of others. This means they are simply better at hidiing their mistakes.

Dont get me wrong...some people change. But those that have.... wont be making you ask questions like this on Yahoo Answers.

A one time mistake doesn't dictate how a person will lead their life.
