If another guy asked you if you were gay. I am looking for honest answers here. It happened to me and I told him no and then asked him why he asked. He then told me cuz he thought I was good looking and wanted to know. Then I shocked myself by saying well thanks, but I am not gay, and have no desire to be with another dude. I thought that was the mature approach, but now I am wondering if I should have been offended by it.

Why should you be offended if someone finds you attractive?

(Just like if an 8 year old child sweetly said they thought you were handsome, that wouldn't make you a kiddie fiddler would it?)

In any case, it's not like he said he thought you found him attractive. And even if he said that, that also would not be offensive... unless you're a homophobe.

Yes, you said the mature thing

I think if you were polite about it, what you did was fine. I used to have some friends who lived in an area of Sydney that had a lot of homosexuals living there, and got asked it quite often when I visited. I just smiled, and said: "Sorry, it's flattering, but Im not gay." Then maybe had a joke with them.

Im sure most homosexual people are used to being told by people that they arent gay, so I wouldnt worry about it, so long as you werent a d-ckhead about it. You cant help who you prefer, it's not like they're going to be offended. Im sure they know that.

I think you handled it very maturely. It was just a question and if yo are gonna beat the stuffing out of some one that just asked a question you would be very immature. Good for you!.

No, you should not be offended. He asked. You answered. End of story. A polite question should ALWAYS get a polite response. That's called civilization. Freedom of speech, etc., ect....

you handled that well, because he obviously didnt say anything afterward as you were walking away. And anyway, you were honest. He would have wanted you to tell the truth and not lie.

Face it. You were seriously interested in his proposal which means you are heading down the gay path. You look gay and act gay, that's why the homo thought you are gay....and he is right.
