No offence to the east Indians – but the accent over a choppy connection is really annoying.

But I think you will agree that MS support line techs are better educated and speak better English than the writing demonstrated here on Yahoo Answers. Some of the grammer, spelling, etc. by native English speakers here is just awful, won't you agree.

These are call centers you are calling. Many companies have outsourced their Technical or Customer Service Support to other countries especially in the third world countries. Basically, the reason is, cheaper labor costs.

It sure is , I cannot understand what they are trying to say and i really feel ripped off to buy a product ; be assured of service ;and, then the person does not speak English well and really cant give the service

Greed, we should both take a week and walk the streets in front of every business that charged you for "HELP", charge them for every minute they make you say "Please connect me with your Supervisor" "What did you say?" "Pardon" and "where are you at?"
I have stopped shopping at places cause if something breaks, throw it out, buy another cause you can never understand what they say.

Come or deal with Amercans, Speak Good English. !!!

It's not just microsoft.. it's every big company who doesn't want to pay $5 an hour more per person.

Oh sure, the economy sucks here because they outsourced all those support jobs to India, and now you want to destroy THEIR economy too? How inconsiderate can you get?
