3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
2 1/4 cups flour (all purpose)

12 oz package of semi sweet chocolate chips

tell her that in a far far away land, there are a lot of cocoa trees. Those trees produce fruits called cocoa, cocoa taste bitter, no one likes it. So, in order to make cocoa yummy, they process it, add some sugar, add some milk and voila...chocolate chips

Tell her that they melt down big bars of chocolate and then a machine puts then into a tiny little mold so that they can then be put into cookies.

their made by chipping off pieces from a BIG block of chocolate. give her a cute visual. it will make her smile :)
