I am taking a french class but I'm not that good. And the only person I know who speaks french is the teacher and I do not want her around while I'm trying to have a conversation and I have never let language stand in my way. What do I do??

I was in the same situation with my boyfriend. He was from Quebec and spoke only French. Our solution was for him to go to night school to learn English. I tried learning French but was unable to. It was too difficult for me. After about 3 weeks of night school he was speaking a lot of English. He caught on right away and after a couple months, we could communicate in English just fine. At first I had to speak slowly and he made sure I corrected him if he said something that was not correct English. It worked out great! Good Luck...)(

Get yourself on of those talking translation machines and start practicing your French. Also remember body language is the universal language.

You do your best to speak French with him. If he finds it cute that you're struggling to speak with him he will either volunteer to give you lessons or brush you off. It would be the perfect way to find out if he has any interest in you and the perfect excuse to spend time with him.
