"The need for a world language is urgent. The problem with Artificial Languages is that nobody ever learns them.We need a more practical solution.English is the most widespread language in the history of the planet, but its complex pronunciation, spelling and idiom make it hard to learn." A world language might have some advantages, but the problem with something like 'Globish' would be that it smacks of cultural imperialism, regardless of the real intentions people might have. Especially given the impact that language has on the way people think and conceptualise the world around them.
You've already identified the problem you get if you try to avoid this issue - no one learns artificial languages.
Personally I'm in favour of preserving diversity in languages and culture, just because homogeneity is convenient, I don't thinks it's better.

There are already several versions of English around so adding another one would be OK, but not the way you are suggesting. Like esperanto, it would fail.

English is not difficult and I for one am happy to continue with things as they are.Its not because I'm too lazy to learn another language. I already speak Polish.
If we were going to have a new global language it would probably be better to go down the text root

You should be proud of you spoken language. What sickens me is all these immigrants coming to our country who don't speak a word of our language and make no attempt to learn it. When i go abroad i try to communicate in the chosen language. Be proud of our heritage.
