No, many of us want to be loved by God, rather than vice versa.
Which is what is sad about modern humanity :(

So, like Yann Martel is your messiah?
Born in 1963 in Salamanca, Spain, and lived in Montreal?
That's a far cry from fulfilling the scriptures by being born in Bethlehem, being called out of Egypt, and being raised in Nazareth (Branch).

His life observations are too subjective, and he fulfills no Old Testament prophecies.

Strange...a God who could make good children as easily as bad, yet preferred to make bad ones; who made them prize their bitter life, yet stingily cut it short; mouths Golden Rules and forgiveness multiplied seventy times seven and invented Hell; who mouths morals to other people and has none himself; who frowns upon crimes yet commits them all; who created man without invitation, then tries to shuffle the responsibility for man's acts upon man, instead of honorably placing it where it belongs, upon himself; and finally with altogether divine obtuseness, invites this poor, abused slave to worship him!

I'm not trying to love God. I love a different god that is definitely not the Judeo-Christian God. He's a petty, violent, prick.

No.I don't think so.I believe you either love God,or
you don't.People that are "trying" to love God have
a special problem and I don't think that they will
ever love Him because they can't accept Him for
who he is.
