Pick one:

- Walk, bike, or take public transit rather than your car.
- Only leave the lights on when you need them
- Hang up your clothes to dry, don't use the dryer
- Don't leave the hot or cold water running.
- Recycle
- Reduce your red meat consumption
- Bring your own bags when you go shopping and re-use them
- Buy recycled products
- Reduce - Only buy things that you actually NEED.
- Reuse things as much as possible
- Don't overheat or overcool your home. It is OK to wear a sweater in your home in the winter and a T-Shirt in the summer.
- Don't idle your car, even in the winter. It only needs 30 seconds to warm up in very cold weather.
- Buy local products that don't require thousands of kilometres or shipping to get to you.
- Don't buy bottled water. It comes free out of the tap and doesn't require a petroleum based plastic bottle and energy to ship it to you.
- Replace regular incandescent lights with low energy CFL lights
- If you must drive, Carpool, and not in an SUV.
- Encourage other to do the same

Hi. Shower without soap. Works for a lot of us! And turn the hot water on first until its the temp you like, saves the cold water. Use brown (unbleached) coffee filters. Keeps out some subtle dioxins and saves energy at the factory.

take a vow of solitude and live prayerfully alone --without ever having or raising a baby here in the "first world." That's the best thing you can do for the environment, go through life childless.

Stop buying stuff. To build, ship, or produce a product, there is energy being used. So, only buy the stuff that you need.
