In Both Canada and America the legal age to "drop" out of school is 16. Also, in Canada teens can legally live independently at 16.

In Quebec, the legal age is 16 or until you get your high school diploma.
If you want to drop out, finish high school first because when you decided( notice how i used when) to go back you can go directly to university!
I hope you have a really good plan B

You can legally drop out of high scholl at 16 however, it is a very bad idea, unless you want to be poor or join the army as a grunt.

ADD: I know you can't join the army without a high school degree, but they are getting desperate and i heard they might change it.

You can even be emancipated at 16. So yes you can drop out - not a wise choice, but its still yours for the making

um, I think you can with your parents' approval, but what on earth would you want to do that for? I know you probably don't see it now, but that would be one of the worst decisions you can make in life, and it will follow you around for life as well.
And in 10 years or so, you will be kicking yourself for doing it, because there aren't many jobs out there that will give you a chance if you have no HS diploma. Seriously, think about the repercussions before you do anything.

You can, although I don't advise it, it's a huge mistake!
there is no reason in the world I can think of why a 16 year old would drop out of school.
Don't destroy your feature.
