No it won't, but be sure to do all of the muscle groups this way, if you're doing it. Muscle balance is everything. This sounds familiar to Body for Life, have you heard of it? It's great. If you want to have a look go to bodyforlife.com and look at their demo exercises, he has a system that you use, pyramid with the weights, I believe it's about 6 sets with each muscle group.

It might over work your muscles. Depends on how much weight you are actually doing. To do another 3 or 4 sets, and you are actually able to do them, you might not do too much harm but its sort of over kill and un-needed. Just do the most you can in the initial 3 sets. Sometimes its good to shock the muscles and start at an even higher weight, like the max you can handle. Change up your work out routine a little with exercises and how much weight. But dont worry about trying to do too many sets. Just stick with it a little and everyonce in a while switch up your work out. That will do wonders, along with eating right.

It depends on the amount your lifting. If you're lifting low amounts with 10-12 reps, you could lift all day to improve body tone and condition. If you are lifting higher amounts to build large muscle mass, you want to limit the number of sets per day.

In one day? Yes. The object of weight-lifting isn't to build muscle as fast as you can. You have to pace yourself and give your muscles some time to adapt to the weight placed upon them.
(8 hours between full sets.)
I do mine every other day over a 4-6 hour regimen (being on blood-thinners). That way, I don't overexert myself or risk injury.

I only do 2 sets of each exercise, but have high rep numbers. But a normal benchpress can be done with several sets, but throw in incline and decline benchpress as well if you can.

Depends on your weight. If it's a lot for you I wouldn't recommend it. If it's a standard workout it shouldn't be a problem.

The lighter the weight the more reps you can do without hurting yourself. You can feel when you are about to over do it.
