just go up and "accidentally" kick him in the groin. then say sorry, could not think of anything else to start up a conversation, or ask him if that is bold enough for him.

I used to have a real confidence problem, too. The best way for me to deal with this was to realize what it really is to be human. Even if this guy is absolutely gorgeous and brilliant, he still farts. His nose runs when he gets sick. Maybe when he was a kid he had an embarrassing haircut. And he has probably said something ridiculous in his life and kicked himself for it!
What I'm saying is that the way shy people view "perfect" people is not always the way they see themselves.
If you speak with him, get to know him, become his friend (and maybe more!), you have simply made a connection between two imperfect people.
I shyly admired my husband from afar before we got to know each other. And now, years later, I love him all the more because I know all of his flaws.
Good luck to you.

Most good men want a confident woman. Find in yourself the confidence to start a conversation. You say you have a class together try a conversation about class first and see where it goes.

"How do I start a conversation, if I don't even know if he wants to talk to me". You'll never find out either, is that what you want? Girl, he's even given you an invitation.........."A girl who has the confidence to go up to him and speak".....Do you have it? I'm going to go out on a limb here, I'll tell you what I think, a girl who could write a letter like yours has the confidence to do anything she puts her mind too, you're no longer a little girl, you are a WOMAN! Once this is over with and you two are going out on a regular basis, you'll look back and feel a sense of pride......you'll say to yourself "I knew I was ready to move up".......LATER......

He evidently wants to talk with girls like you or he would not look for a girl with the confidence to walk up and talk with him. JHust remeber, he's a guy; SO WHAT ; YOUR'RE A GIRL" And he's no better than you. Also he could be shyer than you think one on one with a female. Girls are stronger in those situations when they want to be.
Just walk up to the guy and talk. What's up is a g9ood starter. One he'll have to answer.
Another thing remember your're both teens now, but in a few years anything can change.(if you don't beleive it look at his dad and your mom:): they are older you and him). if you constrate on what you think he'll bein a few years the mystic wears of fast:).
Go for it and start a conversion with him.

this could be a number of things- he could be shy himself, or could be calling a bluff!!-- dont concentrate on the present but the future.--- if he is hot, think about it--- if u do get to gether-- married-- can his hot looks pay the bills?-- if it is meant to be, then it would be!!!

Find something to compliment him on....it doesn't have to be anything huge, just a little something and make sure you are genuine.
