Is it really possible for ex's to remain friends? Isn't one/the other/ or both left wondering what if? Or wanting more than a friendship?

Sure its possible, but it takes a lot of time for both sides to come to terms with it. One of my very best friends is an ex-boyfriend. The plus of continuing a friendship is that you already know a lot about each other and can relate to each others problems. Again this took some time to get to, but I would rather have a good friend than an ex-boyfriend any day of the week!!

It is possible, but it really depends on how much work and effort the people want to invest into it. If both are willing to work at making a friendship work, then it can work. Chances are by the time the relationship has ended, all those what if questions have been answered. It's different for every couple/ex couple.

Of course it is. Cody and I met when I was 13 years old, we've been best friends for a long time. We just sort of clicked. After awhile when I turned 15 we started to date and broke up when I was about 17 (I'm 20) and he went to go out with another girl. But we still stayed really good friends and he still always thought of me no matter what he was doing. Now we're thinking about going back out. I never thought what-if when we were ex's and I doubt he did. I guess it depends on the couple.

Yes it is possible. There has to be limits set to the friendship. But where there is a will there is a way! hang in there and keep your head up! Good luck!

I believe that it really does depend on how you broke up, if it was violent then no, but if deap down you both were true friends first then the relationship is just that, you will always love your best friend, only you both would have to determine if you could actually keep it non sexual, I guess you would both have to be honest with yourselves and eachother first.

I think after time it is possible. We all need time to adjust to things, and get our lives going again (depending on how long the relationship). I'm great friends w/all of my ex's, all we needed was time. Hope this helps!

I don't think so. I hate all my exes lol. My one ex still likes me, we dated for 2 years. And it just didnt work out but he wants to try again and we have so many times. And now we are friends and stuff, but if I date him again it will ruin it.

i think it might be possible, but i've never actually seen it happen. my sister has tried to stay friends with her ex's, but they always end up fooling around. when me and my boyfriend broke up, we COULD NOT stay friends. we were "friends with benefits" until we finally got back together. so, i haven't seen any evidence, but it i hope it's possible, because if it weren't, a LOT of people would be cheating on their current boyfriend/girlfriend.

It is possible but both people have to be on the same page otherwise it won't work.
