It is safe to spay her now, but it will cost more.

Keep a close eye on her, get those little doggie "napkins" so she's not leaving a mess and a trail around and just make sure she's not outside unsupervised.
If you take her out for walks, drive her about 1/2 mile from your house, let her potty and bring her back home. Do not let her urinate a trail around the neighborhood and back to your door step or you will have visitors! It is best to keep her "in heat" scent away from the outside of your house. IF she goes outside, make sure it's just around the house and try to bury it or spray it down with something to help get rid of the scent.
The full heat cycle is 21 days, but you should be able to get her spayed in 12-16 days depending on your vet. There should be about 10 days of bleeding, ranging from thin and pinkish to heavy and red, then ice tea color (light brown or amber)THIS IS WHEN SHE CAN GET PREGNANT, this should be day 7-13... When she stops bleeding you can take her to get spayed.
thanks

You can get her spayed tomorrow morning...

Heat typically lasts 3 weeks... keep her away from male dogs, you can buy or make a diaper for her to keep blood an other discharge off your furniture and carpet as well. Get her spayed soon... She will be most receptive to mating shortly after she stops the red discharge... I'm not 100% sure but I believe if you have her spayed before her cycle is completed you will still get many of the health benefits associated with having the procedure done before the first heat... don't quote me on it... ask your vet, I would recommend having it done ASAP unless he tells you it won't be any different to wait... the possible reduction in cancer risk is worth a few minute phone call I think.

Most vets want to wait about a month after the heat cycle before spaying them. Then again some vets will do it while they are in heat. I had one of mine done during her heat cycle. Just keep her away from any male dogs.

Don't get her spayed while she's in heat. All the blood vessels going into her uterus and ovaries are engorged and it can be very risky. That's why it costs more. As for precautions, make sure she never leaves your sight! She will try to get out to males as well as males trying to get to her. Bitches are in heat for around 3 weeks, make sure to confine her for the entire time although they are usually most receptive from day 7-14.

You can get her spayed right now while she is in heat. It may cost a little more but they can do it. Also if you decide not to do it now make sure you stay outside with her everytime you take her out. Male dogs will find her anywhere and will do anything to get to her. Even get aggressive so be CAREFUL. I recommend you get her spayed ASAP!!!

Usually heats last for about 1 week. Do not let her around any male dogs, and sont let her run off. Its ok to get her spayed at anytime. She can even be spayed while she is in heat.

In the 11th thru the 17 day dont let her outta your site, this is when she will be wanting to accept the male dog. She should be done in 3 weeks and then you can get her fixed. In the meantime you can buy pads to put on her from the petshop, believe me it can be a messy sititution.
