I used to have the same problem but I also had pain. I thinks it's called "TMJ". Something is causing the joint in your jaw to slip when you open your mouth. You may want to see your dentist. They can make you a mouth piece that helps stop the popping.

It is a symptom of TMJ or Temporal mandibular
Joint Syndrome. I got mine when my jaw was out of place 45 minutes while having wisdom teeth pulled. That was 45 years ago and occasionally I still have a little trouble with it.

Don't over work it as it can get worse and become painful.

no it is not normal the pain might come later on if u dont go to the dentest or doctor and it is not normal ur jaw might be broken so go and see a doctor or dentest
