Interesting question. I do sometimes, thought not all the time as I come from a country which does not have that culture of opening doors for ladies. But yes, it is good and in an other way, I also see that an insult for a female portraying her as weakling, or reminding her of being 'the weaker sex'.....lol

I open doors for ladies, and when I'm with my wife I wave at the automatic doors to get them started and then step aside to let her go first. Simple gestures can say the most.

I don't know what kind of answers the guys will give you, but as a woman let me thank you for your question. When a gentleman opens the door for a lady he is being gracious. We live in a world where very very few things can be called gracious any longer. Thank you for asking about one of them.

Yes, of course. If it's a revolving door, I go through first and do the pushing, so she doesn't have to. And I surrender my seat on the bus or subway to a woman who is older or pregnant.

Every man should do these things. And if I ever catch any of my sons not doing it, he'll sure hear about it!

No, not unless I would open the door for a man in the same situation, such as he's carrying a baby or packages.

After thirty plus years of male bashing and insults, there is something really wrong with a man who still opens doors for women just because they are women -- and with women who still expect it.

I call it "Pick-N-Choose" equality.

confident, I evaluate myself a feminist yet this has no longer something to do with being a feminist. women and adult men ARE distinctive and we ought to continuously rejoice the alterations no longer rail approximately them. and revel in them IMO i'm a female and opt to sense "female". Being a feminist isn't approximately denying the undeniable fact which you're a women, its approximately being proud you're. IMO adult men ought to open doors, mild cigarettes, pay for beverages, carry heavy paying for luggage, and stroll me to my automobile whilst i'm leaving some place previous due at nighttime. yet please do no longer call me "little female" or a "female". i'm female ! :-) I open doors for others all the time, its referred to as "user-friendly courtesy" and that i taught my toddlers to besides. in addition they provide the elderly, pregnant, disabled, or in any different case ought to take a seat down, their chair in the event that they arrive right into a public waiting room, or a bus and so on. some thing toddlers dont look taught to do those days.

Depends of if your hot or not, if your not, I usually wait until you get like 3 feet from the door (just out of reach to touch it) and then just let the door close on your face. I get tickeled by it though.

Of course I hold the door.
What I haven't figured out is, do I go into a revolving door first to start it, or just let the lady go first.
