I get all Adrienne Monk on people who put licked anythings on my paper - especially Books! I have this thing about books being as pristine as possible and cringe when I see a page torn, stained, bent or touched with licked fingers.
We nuts have to make a stand! ;-)

I am one of those people that licks their finger... For some people it is because they can't get the pages apart without doing it. Some people have issues with the way the paper feels. And some people just do it out of force of habit. No big deal. If it bothers you, tell them. If done so nicely, they should not take offense.

I think it's gross if you do that with anything that doesn't belong to you. For example if you did it with a library book, or in your case a paper. It's just disgusting. How do you know that person doesn't have germs or something? Just what I want; a spit covered paper to turn into the teacher the next day!

Not really. I just don't touch the paper in the same place they do. Think about all the other shared things you touch after your co-workers: coffee pot handle, door to the restroom, copier buttons, etc. It's hard to tell where everyone's hands have been, but I'm betting a *tiny* bit of saliva on your document is the least of your worries.

That is so disgusting. So is licking your fingers to count out money or pulling money out of your bra or shoe and handing it to someone. I used to work as a cashier and I went through hand sanitizer like it was water. I finally had to start buying my own because the boss wouldn't give me any more. So....yes, it bothers me. And to all you who do it: STOP BEING GROSS!

Ugh yes I secretly hate it! I was playing "speed" (the card game) with my friends mom last weekend and she kept licking her fingers all the time before putting them down! Ewwwie yuck gross!

Yes, I hate it also when you buy groceries and you see them lick their fingers to open the bag god that bugs me.

i think that is so nasty, i also hate when i am at a grocery store and the cashier licks their fingers and open my bag. eww just nasty.

Nope. I do get P.O'ed when you let someone borrow a writing utensil and you find them chewing on it, or they return it with teeth marks.
