only a few troops die every day, so chances are you won't if you follow orders and don't get careless. just keep a strong spirit and strong mind and you will make it home :)

I've been back about 3 months from a deployment to Iraq. I think if you watch your back and use your brains you'll be fine. All i can really offer you in advice, is watch your back. Things aren't black and white anymore you never know if the guy waving at you will pull a gun the minute you let your guard down. As long as you remain alert the whole time you'll be just fine and I'm sure you have other troops who will watch your back.

You have a better chance of being killed in LA everyday than being killed in Iraq. And there are a lot of army men here that have just completed their third tour and have returned home. Just go into it knowing you will come home safe.

The true statistics of u.s. troops killed is much higher, they usually let the family down after a delayed period of time on occassions so the deaths are spaced out.

Depends on your job of course. My figures come out that you have a 99.98% chance of coming home. That's pretty good.

I think that they are pretty good if you stay alert and don't get careless. Watch what you are doing at all times.
Have a great day!

I don't mean to discomfort you, but you're the soldier. You should be the one doing the work and research.
