How can I differentiate a normal american from a redneck?

rednecks are belligerent toothless idiots from the south that give southerners a bad name. what is the last thing you hear b4 a redneck dies or is horribly injured..."hey y'all watch this"

Ok first let me tell you why someone is a red neck. A redneck is someone who has a job working outside ( farmers for exsample food or animals). So most of these farms are down south were country people are so I think what happend is the "redneck" became like another word for hick. But really it is just someone who gets sun burned on the back of there neck from being outside all day.

Most famous redneck in my family was a governor of Kentucky. They were normal Americans. Some other ones went to college and university, also rednecks. We have gun racks in our Mercedes Benz, you got a problem with that, bubba?

The term "redneck" was coined from the necks turning red from working out in the sunlight. Many people out in the boondocks were farmers and worked in the sunlight. The heat caused their necks which were very much exposed to turn red. This became equated with hillbillies and others who were mainly farmers.
Rednecks are normal too.

A redneck, how can you tell if a person is a redneck, are you a redneck if you have a car in your driveway up on blocks, I live in Ky. we use that term all the time.

A redneck refers to someone who performs manual labor in the hot sun and gets sunburned.
Farmers, construction workers....
You know, the jobs Americans won't do.

okay i live in the south in a smallish town. and i know alot of rednecks i might even be considerd one. were hicks people who hunt talk country, love fishing and spit. and theres more to it but thats what im writing.

i think a redneck is suposeldly a "white" person who tends to turn red...i guessing here!!! i dont really know good question though
