When someone (e.g. Jesus or anyone on these boards) teach about the unreality of sin, why do people get annoyed?

I'd say it's the simple human impulse to have revenge. Many people don't like to put themselves in other people's shoes, they only react to the other person's actions and don't bother to try to understand what caused those actions.

This is why the idea of hell is so appealing to some people. If someone did a horrible thing, kill or rape or something else, then they will pay for it forever. They don't realize that not everyone that does horrible things does them for giggles. There is a reason for everything, and understanding that reason is a better way to eliminate it than just unthinking revenge. It's the difference between sewing a wound shut and just slapping a band-aid on it.

I rambled a bit, but my ultimate point is that the idea of hell appeals to people who enjoy knowing that someone that doesn't play by their rules is going to pay for it someday.

believing in sin and hell was a learned process and a belief system
So some people want to unlearn this system and they like believers get annoyed when others don't understand, we as humans are so confused because we are bombarded with all types of sales pitches, that we no longer know what is correct and what is not, people go to college to study physiology to trick us "the common people" into believing all sorts of things, but each one has a hidden agenda.

Great question!

Please consider these tidbits:

Jews for Jesus = Vegetarians for Hamburgers

God? He or She?

Church? Christianity? Jesus? Dying?

What is the Imacculate Conception supposed to mean?

Does Imacculate Conception have anything to do with "VIRGIN BIRTH"?

Google Imacculate Conception and learn that is NOT.

What else do you falsely believe?

Jesus, the basis of Christianity? .

If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.

Can Gods die?

If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?

Did Jesus give up Saturday for us?

No Eternal sacrifice, big deal for a day!

If Jesus died for our sins, there should not be any more sins, else why go through with it?.

If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!

Life after death is like virginity after childbirth.

If the flesh of Jesus died, what was seen walking and talking on Sunday?

If you believe this stuff, you are not going to like the folks who don't. You want them to believe it too to validate you.

Christians want everyone to convert to their non-thinking in order to be 'saved'.

Believing and not thinking is like choosing to be lost.

P.S.

[Do Christians on Yahoo! answers feel righteous when they report questions they disagree or disapprove of?

Hey that's cool, nine of pentacles I agree with you, that certain participants report abuse just because they don't like the answer or question, which in itself is abuse just consider the source, narrow minded and pompous .]

The bible teaches about both sin and hell. Those who choose to ignore the bible, do so at their own peril. Why would I be annoyed? It is the responsibility of each person to choose to believe in what God has said....or not.

You'va asked a good question - especially as it concerns sin. Why do we like sin so much? I think it is because most sinful things are pleasurable. I never thought about this issue like that before. Thanks for the question.
