I have webbed toes (2nd and 3rd toes) on both feet, but only partially, as does my brother, my mother and my grandparents.
It poses no issue medically or developmentally. But as a child and particularly a teenager I hated it because it made me "different" to everyone else. I would only ever wear enclosed shoes as I didn't want anyone to see it, and make fun of me. (you know how cruel kids can be!) But once I hit my 20's it became much less of an issue... I just about forget that I have webbed toes! And I have also discovered it is not as rare as I used to think!

I think if people plan ahead of time and are able to have a plan to provide for those children than there is nothing wrong with it. Had I known that I would end up with 6 (produced only 3 thank you) I would have bought a farm or something. I think those people who do like in-vitro and end up with multiple births that they can't take care of is a problem.

YES! My son has it on both feet, he is 3 years old. (its the 2nd & 3rd toes) I asked alot of questions to specialists whan he was born, I didnt think it was worth him having to go through surgery as I found a few people with the same thing who said it never bothered them to grow up with it. Ive decided if he wants to 'fix' it when he's older he can, but Ive actually come to love his little feet! He has asked me why his older brother doesnt have the same toes as him and I told him unfortunately his brother wasnt born with special toes!

Ashton Kutcher has webbed toes (according to magazines I've read). Maybe your child will grow up to be famous and successful!

Well, I'll be quiet honest, I've never known anyone that had that issue. But I dont think that it would be any sort of problem for him/her. And if it is, take them to a special doctor
