kitten chow. sometimes you can find canned kitten food if she is to little to eat hard food. feed her as much as she wants. cats don't overeat. she is growing and needs all the protein she can get.

Well of course she's hungry! A six week old kitten should eat at least every six hours or so! You've waited almost ten hours. As has been suggested, feed this kitten dry kitten food moistened with warm water so it is soft. By the time she's eight weeks old she should be able to eat it dry. Please feed a good quality food like Iams kitten food. Check the feeding instructions on the bag of food and it will tell you how much to feed. Just remember to offer food four times per day, and as she gets older you can feed less often. I feed my adult cats twice a day still.
Good luck to you!

Amanda, did you ask this question before? I suggested that you wait a few hours before feeding her again.

Whiskas and all those grocery store food, Fancy Feast etc. are really awful foods. Get something more pricey and much better for her at a small pet store. The high quality will satisfy and nourish her better than the cheap stuff, be better for her health, and actually result in her not eating so much.

Plenty of cat care websites.
But my friend has a few cats.
I take care of them when she is out of town.
I gave them some canned catfood before I left this morning.
Dry food is left out for cats at ALL times.
Don't do a strict schedule like you got.
The reason the kitten seems like it is still hungry is probably because it is.
A dog will eat itself sick.
Never seen a cat do that.
Do you leave dry food out for the kitten?
I hope you feed more than once a day!!!!!!!!!

They should eat kitten chow. And if it has trouble eating that. Soak it in wateror kitty formula so it becomes mushy. You can also give it cans. Don't give them milk...may cause diarhea.Make sure it has plenty of water.
You should feed her at least 2 to 3 times a day

Most(well stocked) pet stores will sell kitten kibble that is especially made for them and their little itty bitty teeth,(nothing is more pitiful then watching a kitten trying to eat big cat food) usualy they are also formulated just for kittens too, so that probably your best bet.

I found out that kittens that are 6 weeks old seem to do better on baby cereal the best it satisfies them and they seem to digest it better then kitten food. Try that twice a day and see if that helps.
