Jews for Jesus is an organization of messianic Jews (Christian Jews) who believe that Jesus was the Messiah as prophesied by the Prophets. They essentially believe the Christian doctrine of Jesus being the son of God and through believing in Jesus, one is saved from the wrath of sin (hell) and can enter the kingdom of God (heaven). The Christian doctrine also states that Jesus is the only way to enter the kingdom of heaven, and once you claim Jesus as Lord, you are 'saved'. These messianic Jews also incorporate their Jewish customs and traditions into their Christian faith, and view their Jewishness as complimentary to their faith.

These Jews are often ostracized and shunned by the Jewish community. They also have a strong proselytizing ministry for their fellow Jews who are not believers in Jesus.

All of the above is correct. And I guess, because we live in a free land, they have every right to exist. Where they overstep the line though is that they are overzealous in attempting to convert Jews to Christianity. Although that, generally speaking, is quite a tough task to accomplish, they do succeed "on the fringes", where there are those who were born Jewish, but have for one reason or another, not followed through with the religion and are thus open to a different approach. It is primarily those "lost souls" who find the J4J message attractive and enter into it.

Actually, now that I think about it, I think Jews for Jesus are Jews who believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah.

They are Jews that have opted for Christianity.....nothing fancy about that.

They have accepted Jesus Christ as the Messiah, which normal Jews do not.

'Jews for Jesus' are Jews who believe in the coming Messiah, who accept and believe that Jesus is not only a dead Jews, a good prophet or a good man, but who believe and recognise Him as King of kings and Lord of lords and that they cannot come to God except by having faith in the only begotten Son of God and that is Jesus Christ.
