Some people are afraid to say what they believe is correct or right. Very sad indeed!

damned if you do and damned if you don't.
If a born again Christian came on here and stated that their beliefs were the only correct way...
1. The thumbs down would go into overload
2. the ridicule just wouldn't be worth it
3. nobody would believe what they said anyway
YET...
you want them to come on and confront your question head on
well okay here goes.
I am a born again Christian and have been since I was 10 years old. I believe Jesus came to earth as a man but was also God's son. He died for my sins and anybody who would ask Him for forgiveness. I believe Him when he said He was the only way.
Now... go ahead and call me arrogant, mislead, brainwashed, and stupid. But I believe I have answered your question in full. Disagree with me if you must but never question my right to believe it.

The idea that there is only one way to God is a misconception. There is not even a best way.

It might be more appropriate to just look at everything as being right. Each of us are here for the exact same reason. Each going about it in our own unique way.

Seeing it any other way is practicing judgment. This is something that real Christians never do. It goes against the teachings of Jesus.

I have been studying the subject of epistemology for a long time, and am satisfied that the proofs of my analytical procedures are correct. That does not mean that I avoid seeking adverse data -- as a scientist, I consider it essential to do so.

I absolutley believe in my faith but for the sake of this forum, it is nice to tread gently so that we can hear from others - see what makes them tick. We won't win anyone over in this forum by screaming - I'm right, because I am!!!

It's good exercise to be able to defend one's faith here, and learn a little about what turns others off of your faith.

for example: for a Christian to say, well you are going to burn in hell because you don't believe in Jesus....well that can be a little adversarial, and wins no one over. Instead if we can have a dialog and I can explain my faith, why I believe and learn why they don't....maybe we come away a little closer to getting along.

It is not a sin to say a dead man is dead.

I am agnostic, and I believe I do not know, I am not afraid to admit it, that is simply my step toward perfection. The perfect person is never embarrassed.

Let's not forget that most times there is no "right" or "wrong". Sometimes there is a grey area, that is different to everyone.
