"WASHINGTON U-S House Republicans seeking to get tough on illegal immigration plan a new vote tomorrow on a -border fence- proposal.

The bill calls for building more than 700 miles of double-layered fencing along the nearly two-thousand-mile border with Mexico.

The House approved the same amount of fencing when it passed its -enforcement-focused- immigration overhaul bill last December.

she-boo - Land of the free never meant 'free for the taking', but land where the citizens enjoy freedoms such as freedom of speech. This would not infringe on citizen freedoms.

Alberto - no, the other 700 mile proposal was in the House Bill that is stalled as the counterpoint to the Senate Bill. This is a new bill, without felonization provision, to try to get something a majority can agree on through Congress prior to the elections.

Silly. I mean, really! A fence? What is this...East Germany?

There is a very simple and inexpensive way to completely get rid of the illegal immigration problem. Hold the companies that hire them accountable for their actions. Make it a federal felony (as it affects trade, both domestically and internationally...this is in the jurisdiction of the Federal Government) bearing a minimum 25 year prison sentence, to employ an illegal immigrant. This law would apply to the proprietor (Sole Proprietor), all partners (partnership), hiring managers (all forms of business), Executive Officers, and members of Boards of Directors.

After the first few (well televised) convictions, no company would ever do it again. Have sweeping random audits with zero warning.

With no job possibilities, why would the immigrants come? The primary reason for coming here is to make money. Take away that reason, and no more would be neccesary. It's simple economics...supply and demand. Remove the demand, and the supply will dry up.

Don't forget...lots of people got past the wall separating East and West Germany!

Yea lets spend more tax dollars in texas to build a fence that won't do anything. Why don't the repubs attack the problem its employers that do the hiring that are the problem. Imagin this if 1000 mexicans are running across the border and 10 are islamic fanatics whats the chances of someone spottiing them. Now if there are no jobs here then the only ones crossing the border are the 10 islamic fanatics, kind of makes them easier to see don't you think.

I will believe it when I see it built,if it would work I'm for it but I don't think it will. The only thing that will ever work is to place our armed military on the border.Put the fear back in the illegals and that will stop 99% of the illegals and make the rest of them easier to locate.I don't trust any politician to do the right thing until they find out we are serious and we will vote their worthless azzes out if they don't stop this invasion of the country.Your vote and your voice is your power.Talk louder than the illegal protesters and Washington will listen or lose their cushy jobs.

The Berlin wall was to keep people in,not to keep people
out.No comparison there .

Too little, too late, what about enforcement of current illegal immigration laws. Land of the free doesn't mean a free invitation to entry any way you, can regardless of our laws.

Why are there so few organizations out there willing to defend and support all the legal immigrants that entered the country legally? Why are some expected to follow the law but not all??

The veil refers initially to the masking Moses positioned over his face to end human beings from seeing the fading glory - ie. the emphasis is on the reality that the respect does not final (in Paul's nonetheless a minimum of). The veil is used metaphorically to confer with the shortcoming of the Jewish human beings to make certain Christ - it is as though a veil continues to be over their eyes and the can no longer see. yet, while one (Jewish guy or woman in context) turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. So, if a jewish guy or woman turns to Christ, the veil that interior the previous coated their eyes is bumped off - they are able to now see. The veil being bumped off in its instantaneous context refers to this. it may be able to be extra extensively utilized to all of us who "turns to the Lord" and hence starts off to be able to make certain Christ - comprehend the gospel. human beings would have an "adventure" that feels some thing like this - yet we would desire to continuously keep in mind what the Scripture is actual asserting - and comprehend that an "adventure of the veil being bumped off" is a subjective element - and could be individually enriching yet isn't possibly what Paul became into speaking approximately.

Four words:

Great Wall of China

Now that was a magnificent wall. Didn't do much, but what an attraction!

This "wall" they plan on building will be nothing but a patchwork quilt, built of pork barrel money.
