If the child wants to, I see no problem. Making them is wrong.

I believe even kids need a good exercise program. My kids are only 4 and 5. They do enough running around on there own now, but if they dtarting sitting around, and it showed in there weight gain, or health. Then I think it is a great idea. All of american's children are getting fatter. It is a proven fact. I think if the child wants to a few times a week for 1/2 hour or so then great!!

I think you have really good parents. They want you to be healthy. Maybe you can negotiate with them and go to the gym on the days your schedule isn't so full.
All parents should do what your parents are doing....it shows they care about you.

It teaches a good habit that the kid will probably be grateful for when they're 30, so yeah.. it's ok. If it really gets in the way of school work, then THAT is a problem.

If your parents a buying you food, clothes and taking care of you, then you are obligated to obey. Maybe you could get them to cut you some slack. I wish someone had forced me to work out then. I would have been more attractive and healthy.

If the kid is not living to their expectations, they may be pushing too hard. Parents need to learn the children are not them. The kids can't relive the parents childhood.
On the other hand, maybe the kid needs it.

Its a great family bonding. It keeps the child away from durgs and other sort of vices around the neighborhood, apart from keeping him healthy.

The question is, why are they having you go with them?
Are you untrustworthy?
Are you overweight?
Do they want more family time?
