Well didnt YOU the "legal citizen" vote for them and now you're whining about their stand on immigration issues? Some people say "we the people elect the politicians and so therefore we keep them in office or they are out of a job".

If it only were that easy people.

If that rhetoric were to be true, America would of never entered WWII because 72% of Americans back then said that it was no use of entering the war. There was no threat to this country. The same goes gor Iraq, and the same goes for Immigration. Politicians regardless of what personal views are do whats best for this country. Immigration legal or not is the soul of this country and thats how its going to stay.

America didn't and wouldn't have entered WW2 until after attacked by the Japanese and declared war on by them, if there was a 72% no poll it was before that.
Politicians do what their masters tell them, the constant question is, who are the real masters currently?
Colonization and slavery built America, immigration has been important in making it the most competitive country up until recently as universal ownership of technology and sheer volume of labour make the creative countries less relevant in the world economy. Unfortunately immigration probably has to be controlled in a fair and even handed way or you could get fascists coming to power on the back of alienation and disaffection and not w/out understandable reasons.

You are correct, but the voters do not control what a politician does once in office. They can stand for whatever they want, and defend their platforms, but how are the voters really supposed to know how they will vote? Politicians change their minds and lie all the time so all the blame cannot be placed on the voters. Tim Schooney is the congressman of my district and at the beginning of his campaign, he was anti-immigration. Now that he is in office, he really doesn't care. Is that my fault because I voted for him?

Yoy arguement has no base the US entered the WW2 after we were attacked by Japan and the people supported it wholeheartedly and we won. Most AMericans supported Bush going into Iraq ib 2001 and so did the UNTED NATIONS with a unanimous vote by the Securtiy counsel. Politicians will soon learn that not stopping illegal immigration is a huge mistake. And so will yo.

Its funny people crying about immigrations. On the news to night the senators crying about the money being lost due to less people coming to this country. Also said we will start losing the war on terrorist because the USA is becoming the most hated country in the world.
I find this statement very true.America is falling as it has turn there backs on all other countries,Less people coming here means less money come here also.

talking realities
Immigration is the soul of this country, WHY?
because without immigration the population of this country from 1990-2000 would have dropped from 230 million to 185 million
That means that presently almost 50% of the people here have come to this country in the last 15 years!

As far as I'm aware...voting is a crap shoot. Sometimes people vote for that certain someone because they say they are going to do something and, guess what, they never do it. ?? How are we supposed to control illegal immigration through voting?

Give me some reasons why immigration is good for you. And yes...if you ask me to give you a reasons why it is bad for me I have plenty of them.

Hear hear!

Some day the targets of all this abuse, lies, and racism will still remember how so very many mistreated them.

It's already made it a little harder for us as Americans to visit countries south of the border. Don't you think a human being can take only so much sh**?

So many of you Americans who are Christian, don't you think that treating your neighbour so badly won't have some justice hanging over your heads?

WWII people didn't want to go, until The Japanese bombed pearl harbor, and then MILLIONS of men lined up to fight.

We now have an invasion of people sneaking in to our country, and a new version of pearl harbor is about to rally the people again
