From the airport, get all the travel maps and subway routes. If you're travelling independently, there are airport buses right outside the arrival gates. Just go to the airport bus ticket counter for assistance.
Its very convenient to take the subway. And their ticket counters are open till late in the evening.
Try the Seoul city bus tours where all the tourist attractions are included in the trip. Noteworthy are the palaces. Since there are 5 palaces in Seoul. Just choose one palace coz almost all the palaces are the same in structure and design. I would recommend the grandest palace of all which is Gyeongbukgung.

They also include the Blue House in the tour. Its their version of the "White House". Coz around the area, there is a national museum where they showcase what other countries gave to Korea for their 100 years. The gifts are beautiful and national treasures. Its worth seeing.

Visit nightmarkets like Dongdaemun and Nandaemun for cheap buys and late night shopping. Also try out their street food or patbinsu for Korean cuisine.

If youre into Korean dramas, an excursion to Winter Sonata place or Dae Janggeum theme park will make your trip memorable.

How about trying hanbok(female) or their national costume for
man? Its very fun to try out these outfits. Also, there's nothing like this in any part of the world.

If you're tired of Seoul, you can travel all the way to Pusan for beaches and just a different scenery from Seoul. Just board their bullet train for easy and fast paced travel.

You can also go to your nearby Korean National Tourism Organisation and collect brochures and maps. They will be happy to assist you. Also , they have this book " Seoul's 100 places" or something like that as a start. It will list down the best places in Seoul to suit everybody's interest.

You can also log on to KNTO website. Just do a search on KNTO and it will you lead you there.

Happy travels! Kamsamhamnida.

Keep hardcopies of the addresses where you will go in case you need to show to the taxi drivers. Print both English and Korean versions as most drivers cannot comprehend the "translated" Korean.
