They are security companies that are paid by the banks to service the machines. Check the link below for one of the companies that does this.

At one time I worked in a bank in the ATM department and we went out and filled the machines with money...escorted by a cop.

Usually when the ATM is not at a bank then it is done by security guards from companies like Rochestor, Brinks and Dunbar Armored Car Companies, to name a few.

It depends where the machine is. If it is attached to the bank and the tellers can get to the back of it safely from within the building then they will do it. Otherwise an armed security company handles it.

Those are the people who stole the tellers jobs.

I'll bet they are paid peanuts and no benefits.

And guess what, ATM's are known for either shortages or overages.

Only difference is they don't call in sick.

I don't use them because they eliminated my job...once.

If everybody stopped using them and demanded live tellers, maybe the banks would think twice about screwing over people.

They are leperchauns that visit during the night while we are sleeping. When the work is too much for them, they get the tooth fairy to fill in. Sometimes they use the easter bunny. So go to sleep so they can fill the ATMs for tomorrow.

They used to hire old retired people. When my grandfather was alive. He did this. This was before the MasterCard/Visa debit card came around. He also delivered money and paper work to different branches.
