I have PCOS, and I never know when my period is due (between 1-5 times per year) I started bleeding yesterday morning. At work (about 3:00 a.m. I passed a blood clot (?) that looked strange. I examined it, it was red and slightly gray. I think it was a baby, I could see what appeared to be eyesockets and maybe an inbilical cord. I looked at a website and seen a 7 week old fetus that looked just like what I seen (more than the pic of 6 wks, less than the one at 8 wks.) Is this just a conicidence and maybe it was just a blood clot, or was I pregnant and had a miscarriage? I thought maybe I could be pregnant, but have spent a lot of money being excited in the past on home preg. tests, and always negative. My boobs were really tender, i felt nautious off and on, then on the 12th starting at like 2 am, had really bad pains (normal with PCOS) but now I'm convinced it was me having a miscariage. Advice or answers, please help me!

I had a miscarriage in 2003. I had it at home, and it wasn't that painful and the bleeding wasn't "uncontrollable" like a few people on here have alleged. There weren't contractions or anything like that. There was a lot of blood and clot-like materials (sorry so graphic...). I called the OB/GYN on call and told her, and she told me I was probably right, and to take some Tylenol and call my regular doctor on Monday (this was Saturday night...). My regular doctor had me immediately come to see him and a few hours later I had a D&C because I was right. It was awful, and I feel so much for you right now. Please call your doctor and get this checked out. Good news - if there is any - is that many say once you have a D&C you actually become more fertile - I did - 6 weeks later I got pregnant with TWINS! They are almost 3 now and doing great! I wish you the very best.

If you had a miscarriage, you would have non-stop, uncontrollable bleeding with a lot of clots. You would also have contractions just like after having a baby. If you had those symptoms, then you had a miscarriage. In any event, if you are passing clots, you need to see a doctor to find out why.

First of all , I am really sorry to hear that. It sounds like a possibility to me. I think you could go to the obgyn and find out for sure if you want a solid answer. Are you being treated for the pcos? There is help out there.

Could have been a miscarriage, although I've heard that they are VERY painful. Maybe it could be implantation bleeding? Definately check it out at the doctors.

I think you would get a better answer if you go to your GYN. But it sounds like you did if you seen eye sockets in the blood clot. You poor thing. My heart goes out to you in sympathy. Go see a doctor!

Could possibly have been a miscarriage. Clots are very normal when having one. Make sure you see your Gync to make sure you have passed everything.

Yeah I think it's very possible you did have a miscarriage. I think the best advice would be to see a doctor as soon as you possibly can.

Check with your obgyn asap. I just had a miscarriage and had to have a D&C to prevent infection and make sure that everything was clear. You may be fine, but I would check it out!
