First of all, I would say that asking her SOON is more important than asking her creatively. While you're planning your big to-do some douchebag might be asking her straight up and getting a yes.
Here's an idea.. Call the most popular radio station in town while your favorite DJs are on and ask if they would be willing to call her with you on the air and ask her on the radio! Of course if she says no that would be quite a diss, but at least she'll know she's missing out on going with a fun, clever guy. Probably the comedic morning DJs who talk rather than playing music would be good ones to ask.

Guys always think they need to be creative or cute or cunning or cool. Just be honest and be yourself. Ask her straight out: "I'd like you to come to the homecoming with me. We'd have a great time. What do you say?" If she likes you, she'll say yes. No doubt. Being cute isn't your goal--getting a 'yes' is your goal.

well what i once did in a similar situation is I talked to her about me seeing ghosts in the house.she wouldnt believe and i challenged her to come and see for herself.
