I first noticed this months ago, on yahoo messenger, and it also apparently does it on other programs, such as limewire, and even programs that came with my computer(such as windows media player)!
links that are supposed to open a browser dirrected to a page (like when you click an add on the little banner on the yahoo messenger) don't work. No window appears. any idea what's wrong? I doubt it's a virus, because I have avast!, adaware, spybot S&D, hijackthis, and haven't seen any problems.

i'd like to know how to FIX the problem aswell, if possible.
since this started before I got those programs (if my memory serves right), I don't think it's caused by the programs
also, I don't know if it's related, but the address bar on my taskbar is non-functional aswell. I have to access specific addresses by opening a browser and then typing it in the address bar at the top of the screen.

You have pop ups shut off

Ok, a lot of times, these programs block those pop-ups b/c they can lead to spyware, adware or viri. Secondly, if you're running a firewall, i.e. Norton Internet Security, they will block those pop-ups, it's built into the program. I have the same trouble sometimes with Firefox, even though, I need the new pop-up, but Firefox wouldn't do it.
