I'm petitioning the USCIS for my alien fiance (using form I-129F) from southern Vietnam to come to the United States so that we can marry each other when she arrives here. I understand that I will need to file the I-134, Affidavit of Support. This form requires supporting evidence of Incomes and resources. What documents constitutes as evidence in my case. My VA disability compensation and SSDI amount to about $45000 annually, and I haven't filed income tax since year 2000. Can any USCIS official, fellow petitioner, veteran or lawyer help me out here? Thank you in advance.

get letters from those agencies stating the amount of benefits paid to you and one from the IRS stating you are exempt from filing tax returns. a letter from your bank if you have accounts with them stating average balance. You will need all the above again when she gets here an applies for adjustment of status and a new affidavit of support I-864 will require the above mentioned also.

Ask the V.A. and the S.S.A. for a statement of your annual benefits if you haven't already received such in the past for income tax purposes (even if you didn't file a return). They may have a specific form to use for making the request, so call first to find out. Hope this helps.
