Bringing a bird across is no issue. I've no idea where some of these people are getting their info, but it's wrong.
If the bird was born in the USA :http://www.inspection.gc.ca/english/anima/heasan/import/birds_usae.shtml
If the bird was born in another country: http://www.inspection.gc.ca/english/anima/heasan/import/birds_othere.shtml
As long as the parrot is in visibly good health he won't need any major inspection and no quarantine. You'll have to sign a paper that confirms the bird belongs to you and that you don't intend to sell it in Canada. The above sites will get you to the agency you need for the forms. The term "psittacines" that they use in the Gov't sites is just a fancy term that embodies all Parrot species. That's about it.
Have a good trip

This has nothing to do with any state agency. You will have to contact Canada immigration and customs bureau. There are some things that can not be brought across the border, and there are serious restraints on some kinds of living animals. Put government of canada in your search engine, and follow instructions on the home page for contacting the customs people.

it really is prohibited to deliver the shotgun into Canada with no acceptable firearm transportation enable from the Canadian authorities, and there are very certain guidelines about transporting firearms that could want to be observed. because you want the gun to be utilized in Montana, my suggestion is to leave it at your mothers and fathers once you bypass on the holiday. justchronic from lengthy island to Montana by employing way of Illinois, leave the gun there, bypass something of a thanks to Vancouver without the gun, and then use it once you come back again. Or once you get to Seattle, discover an section that elements gun storage, leave it there, bypass to Vancouver, then %. it up on the some time previous down. in case you insist on attempting to deliver it the following, check out the internet website decrease than for the legal approaches to deliver it in. in case you try the "unlawful" way by employing not affirming it on the border, be prepared for the consequences of arrest in a overseas u . s . a . in the experience that they arrive across it.

I have friends that have gone to Canadia and back and they said it is just like on tv. You just drive in the country and then drive right back out. There are no people at the border.
But really why take the chance or put the bird through that.. Leave the bird with someone till you get back.
