I've got red spots and lines that itch. however, the football coaches are goin crazy disinfecting everything in the locker room because one kid got staph really bad. The spots spread and stuff.

Poison Ivy. They are disinfecting because YOU might get staph in the open areas of the PI. If YOU had staph, you would have a lot more symptoms other than just itching and a red bumps. You would get extreme red streaks emminating from the PI area and it would be super HOT to touch...you would also feel sick.

Usually lines indicate the way the edge of the leaves rub against your skin as you brush past them. But you gotta double check. I think ivy gives blisters or large red areas and not small spots though.

Keep yourself clean and use a topical antibiotic . Staph infections are very common in the gym . Keep those spots clean , very clean . Good Luck !

My daughter got a staph infection when she was seven years old. I was told she was in danger of losing her leg, and she was placed in intensive care under isolation for five days, with shots five times a day. After five days, she was placed in betadine baths three times a day for three days. I would suggest you apprise your parents/guardians of the situation and consult a physician.
