god is a man, jesus is a man, and women are second class people. with the exception of mary, who was forcefully raped by god, from my point of view. in the bible, women is the root of all evil. it was a woman who was seductive and gave the apple to adam. it was then when god made her a second class person, destined to always be beneath men. lowered like the snake. thats one reason why i can never understand why any women would be religious. at least a man can relate to god. women probably cant relate to anything in the bible. two centuries ago women protested against the unfairness of the church and were deemed witches. suddenly any women who opposed the male dominated church or came to question it was considered a witch, a heretic. if you're not with them then you're against them. that's how witches and pagans became connected with satanism. if youre not with them then you're a satanist. therefore, if you're a heretic then you're a satanist...thats what i think. you dont have to agree

I completely agree, perhaps if we lived in a world where women were deemed equal to men in RELIGION, there would be more equality in politics, but, so many peopel are raised to not question the bible, and to get super super pissed at peopel who do, so it may never happen.. it really is sad...

Mary was not raped, she was not even "touched." She underwent a process much similiar to cloning without the mess. Call it Parthogenesis (virgin birth) which some animals, like Armadillo's use to reproduce. There was nothing "forcible or unkind" about it.

Also, women are not "2nd class citizens in the Bible." The Bible names the Hierarchy of the Church as this:
Jehovah God
Jesus Christ
Man/Elders
Women/the Helpmates of Men (made out of their sides to be equal to them, not out of their heads to be over them or out of their feet to be beneath them.)

Women ARE NOT the root of all evil. SATAN is the root of all evil. This is why he is called "the Father of the Lie, because he TOLD THE FIRST LIE." The word Satan means Rebel or liar.

Also, as the Bible says that the "Life" comes from the Man and the Form (or Womb, is the cradle for the life) comes from the Woman, it wouldn't HAVE MATTERED IF EVE had sinned or not. It was only by ADAM SINNING that sin passed into man and into the world. So, blame Adam, not Eve please.

If you want to talk 200 years ago, go ahead we cannot change that, and as far as today goes, well if they still believe that way, perhaps your not in the true church : )

OK so I've had this discussion with my cousin...she is a (omg I can not believe you'd say that!...but she is the biggest slut) So anyway I said xactly what you stated and you know I do believe that women are seen lower in the bible...I mean why is it that we say "he" when we speak about god? The thing is that women only (substantially) gained their rights 30 yrs ago...After WWI all women who built b-53 bombers etc were sent back to be a disgusting house wife...now that we have modern day true to their potential women in the world we see flaws in the bible...(little ones [IE/their is a part I don't know where {Leviticus maybe}that says we must serve our man]) but anyway...perhaps they (they being men yes) wanted to degrade women just a tad so they could be Superior... (we only make .76$ for every 1.00$ a man makes) now think about it we should be = or down right superior...we have the power to bring children into this world...But yes I completly that the bible is more of a so called mans book...But I am still spiritual....I and still love Christ.

Took a while for us to come around, didn't it? But that was the culture of the times, and the mindset about women continues today in that part of the world.

I don't see this as a flaw in scripture. Mary forcibly raped, and yet adored by Catholics the world over? Such a mean God to bless someone like that.

Dont initiate quoting the bible!!! for each quote you will locate there will be a minimum of yet another one to contradict it. Your question needs a sprint rationalization to is clever. 1st - while you're refering to the male domination of ladies human beings in terms of the BIBLE then properly I doubt there are a number of females human beings that persist with that course in any respect now. If whether it relatively is extra approximately womensopinion related to male dominance in existence then thats a different answer. of course the indisputable fact that men nevertheless tend to dominate women human beings is (partly) a throwback to dumb words like those you mentioned. in basic terms worry is, the place I see women human beings asking to be equivalent, often they choose to be extra equivalent. familiar eh.. nevertheless i'll proceed to assist equality in all areas of my existence the place I journey it. in basic terms a shame that the sturdy men of this worldwide are very mostly positioned into the oppressive bracket regardless, there via perpetuating the comparable crime in opposite.

Women are not second class people in the Bible. Woman was created to be man's mate, for companionship. If that makes you feel like a second-class citizen, maybe you're the one with the issues.

I see flaws in the bible as well as in organized churches. It has urked me that the more spiritual the congregation, the better they seem to feel they are than the rest of the world. I still believe in God and hold a reverence for the supreme being that he... or she... is, but I try to weed out the human infiltration that has been cast into it since the beginning of time. We won't know the pureness until we return, but in the meantime, I accept the part that I can humbly embrace and pray for discernment.

It was primarily written by men living in a male dominated society thousands of years ago. Learning the history of when the Bible was written and what life was like then will help you better understand what's being taught, and will prevent you from feeling angry about situations that were common place back then.

Keep studying.

The Bible has order and in God's order the man was created first not to be above women but to be the protector and head of women.

The woman was deceived in the garden not the man.
