what happened to the old saying that " man wants a woman to be his first and woman wants a man to be her last"? Anyway why are you so worried about what society had created around. Will they stone you to death if they find out you are still a virgin at 26? What is there in the mockery, will it kill you?
What difference does it make when you meet a man your age to be experienced? Sometimes it is even better if the guy who falls in love with you is experienced. It may take a while, longer or slim chance if you will be looking for male virgin your age. However, why not focus on the good quality of the man in terms of loyalty, sincerity, respectability, understanding and responsiblity rather than the chances you are looking for?

You can't spend your life worrying about what other people think of you... WHEN you find the right person he will understand... If you are being pressured into something you don't want to do, don't that's your choice... when I started back to school after 16 years of being out I was worried that people would look at me different and not see me as cool... I thought about it and decided that I the way I am and I'm not going to act different to try to impress anyone..

Ashamed you haven't covered that sin too! STRANGE!
You are a 26 year old female.
You are reluctant to admit with men.
Your 29 year old friend is female & not ready for marriage& \has not kissed.
You are looking for a man in his 20's who has not ""been around"".
This whole proposition is STRANGE!
Why not look for a 14 year old who is wholly inexperienced..
THAT would be even more STRANG!

Try an online dating service and run a search on Catholic men, or Baptist maybe.

That never will be my choice, but I respect yours. Nothing to be ashamed there, although I think that you DO feel it. Just be true to yourself.
Ah! I don't think that being a virgin means being a better catholic...

Don't even worry about it...these days, people ALWAYS lie about their sexual experience...it's the ones who don't speak about it at all who have the most experience....the more people brag about it, the more they are most likely lying....so to answer your question, you shouldn't have trouble finding an inexperienced guy...but you will have trouble finding an inexperienced guy who'll admit it....

I think you are to be commended and respected for choice to embrace and live the virtue of chastity. There should be no shame in that!
