Why do you think Lot's wife looked back?

Why she looked back was because she was looking back at her previous life and still had some attachment to it; so she was curious to see what was happening to her old home.

She was punished because she disobeyed the command to not look back on her old, sinful life.

And if anyone wants to bring up the matter of Lot's daughters then remember that they thought all the rest of the world was destroyed and that they and their father would now have to re-populate the world like Adam and Eve originally did.

It wasn't until later that they finally found other people and knew they weren't the only people left.

It was the angels fault. They should have said "don't look back because you'll turn into a pillar of salt", instead they just said "don't look back". Women are not like men, we don't just blindly follow orders, we're a logical group, we want to know why. Think about it, if men were more like women, the inquisition and the crusades would never have happened, there wouldn't have been any blind following because the pope said so, someone would have asked why.

Because she liked living in sin, the flesh is weak, and we enjoy those sinful things, the Bible says their is Joy in them for a season.

She wasn't as strong in her belief as lot and their daughters.
