You will get an email unless you have it set up to NOT recieve the emails. You can also check your recent activity under your "Q&A" page it will show you the recent activity .
Or if you have the extra time you can go to your "Q&A" page and click on "My answers" and scroll threw them beside each one it tells you how long ago they was posted, if they are open or resolved...If they have selected a best answers and they choose your it will tell you in orange font that your answer was choose as best answer.

Yahoo will send you an email that says hey your answer was picked as the best answer would you like to go to Yahoo and see! lol Its a good time win you answer it and get those 10 Pt's may you get them soon Good Luck Welcome to answer's

As above, check your email, or click on your name periodically and you will see the list of points you garnered in the lower right. 10 points means a best answer.
