Yeah, you better let someone else do it.

The best way to cut your own bangs is to get them wet, comb them together towards your nose so that they almost make a point. You want the point to come right below the bottom of the eyes, on the nose. Then cut. Hair shrinks up when it dries, so that's why you want to cut it longer than you actually want it.
By pulling the hair towards a point at the nose, they will gently angle around your eyebrows when they dry.
It is always better to cut your hair too long the first time, than it is to cut it too short. If you find that your bangs are longer than you want, then you can always repeat the process, taking off a little bit more.
I was a stylist for 14 years before being injured, so I know what I'm talking about.
Good luck to you.

Go to a beauty supply store like Sally's and buy a pair of scissors $7-15. Just cut a 1/4 of an inch at first until you figure it out. Don't go for a whole inch or inches the first time. Make sure the hair you brush forward to cut is bang hair and not side or back hair. Good luck!

I've cut my bangs many many times when I was young and most of the time they came out too short or crooked. I would recommend going to a pro, let them know you just want your bangs cut and it should be pretty cheap. But if you really want to do it yourself i've heard of people who use tape (the kind you would use for taping giftwrap) to keep bangs straight. Be carefull and good luck.

wet your hair, use a comb to part the hair you want to cut and make into bangs and pony tail the rest.
then cut your bangs evenly. remember that your hair is wet so cut it a little longer.
good luck

better yet. have a pro go at it. they will really know what to do.

If your hair is straight then damping the hair slightly. and cut them a little longer then what you want. You can always cut more and they will shrink as they dry. I usually pull my toward my nose so it ends up framing my face. Just do a little bit at a time until its right..

I cut my bangs all the time. But make sure if your hair is wet that you don't cut them to short, because they will get shorter as your hair dries.

hard to tell you on here but get the section that you want to cut..then comb it straight and even,, holding it in your hands,,then ,,holding good..twist it twice all together and then cut the twisted part in one snip quick ..cut it at the bridge of your nose without pulling on it and when you let go comb it and you will have the sides slightly longer than the middle section.....this is a better option than just cutting straight across.and cut it dry........

Cut straight and with your hair dry. If your hair is wet make sure you do not cut it too short it will shrink up.
