NO. You don't.

I would like Chapter and verse that says anyone does.

People are not SAVED by the 10 Commandments. HOW can you be condemned by what you were not saved by?

You can't be. Thank You.

Good Q*.

Yes. One. Because God is a holy and righteous God, He cannot tolerate any sin whatsoever. Any sin, even one little one a long time ago, will keep you from Heaven. The only way to get to Heaven is to be completely perfect and sinless. None of us humans can be that, so God made a way for us to be forgiven of our sins and be made righteous through Jesus' death on the cross. The only way to make it to Heaven is through faith in Him and what He's done for you. You need to confess your sins -- even the ones no one else knows about -- to God and ask for His forgiveness, then repent of your sins (turn away from them) and enter into fellowship with Him.

God gave you a conscience so you'd know right from wrong. He also gave us the 10 Commandments so we'd know how high His standards are. Jesus clarified a few points God's people had missed. Jesus told us that anyone who looks at someone else to lust after that person has committed adultery in the heart. Anyone who hates someone else has committed murder in the heart. Ouch. That's why we need forgiveness. No one can make it on our own merits.

Without accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour, you are in danger of going to hell, whether you broke one commandment or all ten. After you have accepted the Lord into your heart and asked forgiveness of your sins, you will no longer be in danger. In essence, when you give your life to the Lord, do not break the commandments any more.

If you have confessed with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and asked Him to forgive your sins and save your soul from Hell, then you are saved and will go to Heaven. We all sin...every day. Jesus only died on the cross once for all your sins, past, present, and future. We are not supposed to sin on purpose, but we are only human. If we could become lost through sinning, then Jesus would have to come back and die again. That will not happen. When we are saved, we try to live the right way, and if we sin, we should ask God to forgive us for that. But, I believe "once saved, always saved" and God does not go back on His promises. Sorry I rambled so long. May God richly bless you!!

Apparently you do, however if you are truly sorry and ask for forgiveness than you will go to heaven. But what if you break one and die a moment later without having a chance to ask for forgiveness? Would a loving God really send a good person to Hell? Try "exchristian" to search for more info as I no longer attend church and have changed my beliefs (somewhat).

Well, if you listen to those who would tell you their belief system, then, you would be following after them. However, if you are following after the Master, then, you must go to His Word to find the answer. If the words others say are from the Bible, then, you can read them from the Bible and they would have book, Chapter and verse. The previous answers do not supply this, nor can they give a solid verse to back up what they believe. One can find the answer in the Bible, but no one can give you their belief system. The only way you can become strong is to read your Bible, and dismiss man-made doctrines. So, read and find out for yourself.

There is only one way to go to Hell and that is not receiving Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and repenting of your sins. Lots of people break commandments... it is very hard not to, but that is why you can thank God for being so merciful and forgiving even though we don't deserve it.

If you have repented & accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior, then you are not condemned in Christ, to hell. Jesus died for your sins past ,present, and future.

Read God's word and pray and listen for the voice of God speaking to you, grow in Christ. It is not enough, to believe in Heaven or Hell, the devil knows there is both!
