For a really good reference on the whole subject of detox and cleansing of the digestive tract, see Elizabeth LIpski's excellent book "Digestive Wellness" which gives good directions and necessary cautions. Also good in this area is Michael Murray's Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine. Any time you reduce the toxin load on your liver and other body systems you get essentially the same benefit that a good cleaning does for machinery. It runs better and suffers less wear and tear. Good luck and God bless!

If you do two weeks of fruits, veggies, nuts, beans and lots of water it will do the trick (no meat if you can and definitely no dairy or refined sugar). It will clear out a lot of toxins and make you feel a lot better. It helps clean out your gall bladder and liver as well as your colon. You don't need to buy any supplements to achieve the same effect though.

A nice, clean poop chute is about all it's going to give you. I had a friend who did one of those and that's about all it did for him. Oh, and it also made him have to take a dump at extremely inconvenient times. You're better off just getting plenty of regular fiber.

dont buy into that bull ****... there arent any benefits. and most of those "natural" kits are expensive and have a few worthless herbs that dont do anything and then a large dose of a regular old laxative that you could buy for $1
