Hey people, what is the cheapest possible price of a DSLR camera I can get?

Get a refurbished Nikon D50 for about $500 on eBay. There ARE reputable dealers out there.

Clavestone's right. Pentax makes the cheapest dSLR cameras. Cheap cheap cheap... If you can spare the extra cash, take Sam's advice and get a Nikon D50.

Besides used cameras, the cheapest DSLR out there is the Pentax *ist DL. Street price $599 - $100. mail in rebate (USA) = $499.99 with 18-55 lens.

The Nikon D50 is a very nice camera. I have one and it takes great pictures and its price is reasonable.

You can get a Pentax SLR for $600 or so
