Don't force it on her.
I put my daughter in panties and if she had an accident I would take her into the potty and show her this is where you go. I also would take her everytime I went and try to turn it into a game...I can go faster than you can...I also gave her stickers to put on the potty every time she went.
Don' tgive up yet. It will take her some time. Remember some childrens bladders develop at different rates. She might not be ready. You just need to pay attention to the signs. And children use the potty about 30 min after eating or drinking, so monitor that.

You must make it exciting! Give her pom poms that are only for when she pees in the pot! You both do a victory dance when she does use the pot. She is old enough to understand so keep it up! Don't give a snack for a reward or a gift because that just starts bad habits for the future! The pom pom dance can develope into a bigger deal when she goes all day without wetting her pants! Dance around the house. Get dad into the dance when he comes home! If she has an accident tell her that she will do it next time.NEVER get onto her or yell because that will hurt her and will slow down the process! But no dance for wet panties! The pom poms are only for the potty dance or parade, whichever you prefer. When she poops in it you might add a hat or whistle to the parade/dance and she will really try hard to use the potty! She may even try right afterward and try to squeeze out a drop or two. If she does, do a little dance. I trained my boys with a coffee can! They love the sound it makes and then I let them pour it into the commode and boy is that fun for a boy! I took the can with lid in the car also. When we got home they would pour the pee into the commode! Hope your training goes smoother and it all works out great!

This may not work for your daughter, but I went to Wal-Mart and got a musical potty that played old McDonald.
She took to it right away.
My daughter was potty trained totally at eighteen months.
I must tell you, I am daddy.
I asked my wife a minute ago, at what age she completed potty training. I did not remember but, Being the dad, I got a big kick out of watching the progression. I see that you are just starting, have patience please, Rome wasn't built in a day, and I bet it took them a long time before they realized that they needed toilets.
I also thought it was cool too watching nickels and other objects get thrown in just to hear the music.
By the time she got bored with that potty, she was trained.

it's a slow process you can't STOP it after a FEW days it takes months even up to a year to get a child fully trained. I have a son and daughter i started potty training just before age 2 they had slip ups till 3. You stop now put her back in diapers your going to have a pre schooler peeing her self. It takes a lot of time. You don't let them decide they are ready you plant the ideal you let them go along with it. I also used regular underwear let them pick them out and they were uncomfortable when wet if they had a accident they did not want to go in them. At night we used pull up to protect the beds.

It takes time and patience.
The thing for you to remember is at some point nearly everybody gets potty trained. It may not be according to your timetable but it will happen.
Your daughter has only been on the planet 2 years.....look at how much she's already learned....she'll get this too.

This is a time that is not fun, but it takes alot of practice. Try to reward her with a big hug and tell her she is such a big girl when she just sits on the potty.
It may sound gross, but I just started putting little toddler panties on my little girl when it was time to train her. They don't like the feel after they have an accident and it makes them more alert that they have to go to the potty.
I hope this helps, good luck!

You only started this past weekend...? Give her (and yourself) some more time and effort... DON'T train her in diapers, but use those diaper-like shorts so she'll get the idea that something different's going on... Tell her she can go on to panties when you think she's ready... Have you tried letting her watch you go...?

when i was potty training my girl i did not let her wear training panties, just regular ones, so every time she missed it she felt wet and thats how she learned faster. With trainig panties kids dont feel when they "go"

Consistancy is the key. As long as she enjoys going and is not stressed about trying then keep it up. If she shows fear or stress to the situation then try again in a couple months. It takes some a while to get it.
