Here are a ton: http://www.yellowpages.com/sp/yellowpages/ypresults.jsp?q=bridal&rType=headingtext&id=0&p=1&v=3&t=0&st=CA&s=2&ci=San+Bernardino&_requestid=376946
Okay, so going through the yellowpages isn't my thing either. What I am doing is going to different stores and bridal boutiques and getting an idea of what I like and what looks good on me. I was always in love with the idea of a strapless dress with tons of beading on my chest, but that doesn't work with my body. Don't buy a dress unless you have tried that style on. Ordering online is a great way to save money, but try a similar dress on in the stores to make sure that you aren't making a horrible mistake (like I was going to do)
I am also asking around to see if I can find a good seamstress because my body is not "off the rack". Because of my body I am most likely going to end up ordering online and having a seamstress play around with the seams. However, the key thing is finding a seamstress before you get the dress, who can help you determine your size. Unless your measurements line up perfectly with the guide (and who is perfect? Especially because wedding sizing is wacky), you will want to have someone who can tell you whether it is better to order the size 12 to fit your chest or the size 6 to fit your waist.
Good Luck!

Look for an outlet store. I started at David's Bridal, but they are a rip-off, and the sales people are kinda weird. You can get a much better deal on a brand new dress at an outlet store. I got mine, along with a floor length veil, tiarra, and puffy slip all for just over $500. At David's Bridal, a similar ensemble would have run over $1,000.

What happened with the tradition of wearing the mother's gown? Is that too old fashioned? Or tooo cheap? Can anyone imagine having a wonderfully classy wedding without spending 30 grand?
A piece of advise--contact your local couture design school for an apprentice designer who is starving.

Look online for wedding gowns. Find the designer(s) and style(s) you love. Then go to each designer's site for a list of local retailers. This is the best way to narrow down the search!
Hope this helps :D

Sign up on www.theknot.com and do a search for bridal shops with your zip code. You'll be amazed. You can also view TONS of dresses on this site, and they give you the option to find the closest shop to you that carries that dress.
