There are a lot of different body types, out there, but if your active then 140lbs sounds fine just eat right exercise and don't worry about your weight your 13 years old, you still have a lot of growing to do and you are way to Young to be worrying about how much you weigh. If you are very concerned though go see a doctor and ask you can also try eating smaller portions and five smaller meals a day instead of 3 big ones. But listen if you really want to do yourself a favour, take that scale and throw it out the window. If you play sports eat healthy and stay away from junk food you will be fine. Also, if you want to speed up your metabolism a bit, in a healthy way, try drinking green tea every day, and a lot of water. The water flushes crap out of your system and is really good for. Oh and please if you really want to grow up to be a healthy and sane woman stop weighing yourself.

Even if you are overweight, it's only by a little. Take care of it now while you're young but don't freak out over it. Just get a little more active and don't focus on eating diet food, just focus on healthier choices and watch portion sizes. Don't deny yourself anything, but instead of the whole candy bar just eat a couple of bites and save the rest for another day.

The best way to find out your weight range for your height is to find out your BMI score (body mass index). Go to www.webmd.com and at the bottom of the home page you will see a section about BMI. You enter your weight and height and the site will calculate your BMI for you. Good luck!

You are not actually overweight, but because of your age, you are considered to be 'at risk of becoming overweight'. Your BMI is 23.3, which would be fine if you were over 15, but at 13, you have to be careful not to gain any more weight. That said, you may have a larger frame or a lot of muscle which may mean your weight is absolutely ideal if your body fat percentage is 25% or less. HTH : )

talk with a doctor. merely via fact a weight-alleviation plan claims which you would be able to lose fairly some weight quickly does'nt recommend that is risk-free. a transformation in life kind might insure that the burden which you're putting out will stay off. Quickie diets do not final.

You would have to check with your doctor. It sounds like you may be alright but I would check with your doctor.
