try to get a tetanus shot as soon as possible, and go through this steps :
1. Clean the wound immediately with soap and water, rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide.
2. Put pressure on the wound to stop bleeding.
3. Hold the wound above your heart if the bite is on your hand or arm.
4. Place a clean bandage over the wound.
5. Assess the wound for signs of infection: unusual redness or swelling, increasing warmth in the area, red streaking, fever.
6. Get a tetanus shot if your primary series is incomplete or if more than five years have elapsed since your last shot.
7. Determine the rabies vaccine status of the dog. If its vaccine status is uncertain, the dog should be observed for 15 days to see if it develops signs of rabies.
(The rabies virus is 100 percent fatal if you do not receive a vaccine in time.)

I would keep ice on it. Call your local doctors office if they have a 24 hour service call line which most do ask them what to do for it. Other wise you can call your local hospital and ask them what do you need to do for it until you are able to get to the doctors.
If you can't seem to get it to stop bleeding then take a towel or wash cloth that's long enough or even an old shirt. Pour some alcohol over the area and tie the cloth around it kinda tight to help stop the bleeding.

More than likely, it's just a broken blood vessel. However, if you're really worried about it, you probably need to consult your doctor. I used to work in the emergency room, and sometimes the nurses will take nurse calls and give you free advice. We've quit doing that here for legal shmegal reasons, but your hospital may still take these calls. Don't take any changes.

Ask a neighbor to take you to the doctor. In the meantime, put some ice on your hand.
You REALLY need to go to the hospital, just in case there is something seriously wrong. I doubt it, but you never know.

If you're bleeding a lot and can't keep it controlled, then you need the ER now.
Keep a clean cloth pressed on it until the bleeding stops. If it doesn't stop, get to the ER.
