there are many scrolls that have not been put in the bible that were found way back when the bibles (the printed ones) were found. one has to do with mary having another child, jesus marying mary magdaline, and there is also another version or revelations, and some others. all it is is the gewish scholors and the catholic church both have controle over what goes in the bible. for instance the catholics call mary (the mother) the virgin mary ( as if she never had sex after she was married) and they want us to belive that, and they also want us to belive that jesus never married the woman he loved b/c she was formaly a prostitut. there was a program that came on the history channel at one time that talkd about this stuff and also talkd about the end days and revelations. belive it or not there is also missing chapters in the karan (the islamic bible) i would go to the history channel web sight and see if you can find out about those programs.
ps if i offended anyone im sorry but its the truth.

Since people answering you seem so hell bent to disqualify everything religious, I thought I would answer. If the scrolls were found at later dates, doesn't that sound a bit suspicious to you. Maybe they can't be verified as authentic. Maybe they have been verified as fake. Maybe those scrolls have nothing to do with salvation, so what would be the point.
And the people that believe fags are born that way continue........

well, the books of the Bible are pretty well established. they aren't found narratives. they've been in circulation by, depending, the israelites of moses' day, the judges, the kings, the exile, on thru jesus' day. then there's the new testement books, compiled and authenticated by the early christian church. that doesn't make the dead sea scrolls invalid though. i think it is a remarkable discovery, and i hope to read them someday, just as i also hope to read other books dating to and relating to the time of israel and the early christians, such as the apocrypha, the works of josephus, the gospel of thomas, etc.

Most of the scrolls ARE in the Bible. They found a scroll of every book except Esther. If you're referring to the "lost books of the Bible", the Catholic Church is the one that threw them out. But really, if God had intended them to be included, they would have been.
Why don't you read up on the subject before making snide, smug, stupid remarks and wasting your points?

Because there are other criteria necessary for the canonization of scripture other than "Gee, I found it in some cave."

Each religion picks and chooses the books and schools that supports its beliefs. It so common and universal that it cannot really be considered hypocritical.

Because they depict Jesus destroying people, getting married, and fathering kids, and that doesn't fit into the mythology.
