if it smells, that means she needs to take more care washing, and she may have an infection. if you guys are serious and sexually active, try taking a shower with her and offering to wash for her. if it still smells, it's probably an infection. remember, no douche!

You can approach this 2 ways. 1 is Watch her more closely to she if she's clean in general. Do you see her shower regularly etc. Because it could be that she just nasty and doesn't keep herself clean. If this is the case, be very direct and tell her that if she wants to continue to be with you, she'll need to do better at keeping herself together. After all, it's disrespectful to you to allow you to touch her and she knows she's not taking care of business. I'd be pissed off about that.
2 is she has some kind of infection and doesn't know it, because a clean & healthy vigina should not smell. Although as a women myself, I find it hard to believe she doesn't know she has something. In any case I'd be a little nicer about it. Sit her down and first tell her how much you like her and are not trying to embarrass her or hurt her feelings but you have a problem you need to discuss with her....

Say you had sex that evening, and she doesn't shower, the next evening your going to have a bad odor from your semen not being washed off. Watch to see if she showers daily. Woman should shower after having sex. If you wear a condom and she is showering daily, then she needs a doctors appointment. Tough subject, but for her health, might want it checked out.

She may have a yeast infection (especially if she's on birth control) or baterial vaginosis. I've had problems with my birth control and what my fiance and I did was shower first... it can be hard to broach the topic... try to be sensitive.

Check it out, Brian; your gf has a vaginal infection. A healthy vagina does not have an offensive odor.
Nells, you are correct--no douche!

wash it. if that doesn't work, duche. If it's still gamey, she might be suffering from "Vaginosis". Try shaowering with her and turn it into something intimate with you doing the scrubbing of her areas. If that doesn't fix it...then you might want to suggest the other two alternatives.
