I read a few of the answers given by some of the christians. And some claimed that jesus was in fact god and some stated that jesus was in fact the son of god. So what say ye? I'm not bashing christians, ,just want to know why.

It's just plain contradicting! Christianity is monotheistic - but If Jesus is God but the Son of God as well - that is polytheistic - which is "bad"!

Bash away, how stupid can Christians get? I mean, God being his own father and son? Why the heck would he come down to earth anyway? What did he have to gain? Isn't he all powerful, knowing, and good? Why become human, die, and save the world when he could just have forgiven everyone. What the heck did Jesus have to do with anything?

I have been given the understanding that Jesus is the son of God.
There is a passage in the Bible where when Jesus was on the cross he spoke the words, "Father (God) forgive them for they know not what they do."

Neither. In Rev. 22:16 He emphatically said ," I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony, I am the root and offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star." meaning he is just a son of man not of God. And the Churches capitalized on the title Son of God because they wanted to ride on to what Peter said, "Your are the Christ, Son of the Living God" though Jesus was elated by that, he later told Peter in a separate incident, " Get thee behind me, Satan!....."meaning Satan was able to use Peter to furtherly tempt him continuously after the temptation at the Mount. Jesus was indeed the son of God, however so are you and every other individuation of consciousness in Creation.
God created ALL equally, none better and none worse than any other. In fact, All is created not only BY God but OF God. Since All is a part of God, how could he love any part better than any other? Do you love your right hand better than your left?
These are mankind's two greatest errors. Believing that we are somehow separate from God and from each other, and believing that it is somehow possible for any part of manifestation to be better than any other part.
If we could correct these beliefs and realize that All is One we could have paradise on Earth.

I asked this question few days ago, some of Christians who answered this question said (He is God), some other Christians said (He is son of God not God), and others said (He is Both!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), check the answers yourself in my profile

John 1:-2 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.
The Word = Jesus
Jesus is God and then became the Son of God when He became man.

We ,MUSLIMS , believe in that there is no GOD but ALLAH and MUHAMMAD is the messenger of ALLAH.
We believe in that our only GOD is the creator of this earth ,every thing on it, the sky and every thing on the universe.
We do believe in that GOD had never had a wife nor a son.
We do believe in that JESUS is a prophet and messenger of God sent to people ordering them to worship the only GOD who created them.

He is both. He came to Earth in human form as the son of God.
but, He is, in fact one with God. As in the Trinity, The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit(Ghost).
